This article was posted on the Hockey Blog in Canada website. While we were not able to host our Female World Sport School Challenge in 2021 (due to COVID restrictions), the article is a wonderful overview of the FWSSC and the players who have and will be transitioning to university sports and beyond.

2020/21 Season

Academics with Honour

2020-2021

In the 2020-2021 season, our student athletes continued to rise to the occasion. Amidst all the unpredictability that comes with experiencing a global pandemic, and with a shift to blended learning while our province was in a restricted response for education, our team members remained committed to their personal and academic growth. Once again, they demonstrated their ability to excel off the ice, achieving high standards in their studies. They proudly “Hold High The Torch”. here’s to ongoing success and growth in the 2021-2022 school year!

2019-2020

We are incredibly proud of our student athletes. Our team experienced a taxing 2019-2020 competitive season, yet, while both on the road as well as at home, they demonstrated commitment to their demanding academic studies. With a sudden provincial shift to remote learning in March 2020, our team members strived to “hold high the torch” and demonstrated a continued focus on their studies. Congratulations to the 2019-2020 Prep Flames team on achieving such high standards in your studies amidst such uncertain times. We wish you continued success in the 2020-2021 school year.
